Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 is the best skateboarding game ever. If you played the original pro skater, you'll definately love this one. Speaking from a skater's perspective, this game is the most realistic street and ramp riding I've seen. You can choose from 12 different professional skaters, including the greatest of them all, Tony Hawk. Their has been a lot of Skateboarding games coming out lately and this one is the best yet. While playing this game, you'll discover different types of terrain, as well as hidden skate videos. There are 8 exiting new levels and they are more interactive then the last game's. This game is an influential game and it will make you go out and skate.

The level's in Pro skater 2 are very interesting. For instance, the first level is called "The Hanger" located in Mullet Falls, Montana. You can perfect your skating skills and some new tricks in this abandoned Montana hanger field. There is a plane and helicopter that flies out of the warehouse when you grind the roter blades which is pretty cool. This game has 8 enormous levels and every one has a lot of different obstacles that can be skated or tricked off.

You can also create and build your own character from scratch. You can change his image and increase your skater's performance with stats. You can also open up the trick selection screen and start shopping for different types of tricks for a cost. There is a mode where you can create your very own skatepark. It's called the 3d Real-Time Skatepark Editor. You'll never run out of levels with this.

If your not careful on doing your tricks, you'll definately be eating some concrete. They've done a great job on showing some of the slams in this game. You can almost feel the scraped knees. These are just samples of the teeth grinding falls.

There is an advantage to this game if you want to play the easy way. There are secret characters and levels to expose. One of the secret characters is a marvel superhero. You can unlock levels, make the characters either thin or overweight, unlock all the levels, and there are also 3 bonus levels as well. The codes to unlock all of these may seem overwhelming, but there not that difficult to do.

Activision, Neversoft, and Playstation are the major companies involved in making this game. The Neversoft guys deserve a round of applause for making this game possible. I recommend this game to anybody who likes fun and competitive games like this one. If you don't have it yet, you can get it at any local video game store or you can even order it through the internet. Tony Hawk's pro skater 2 is what a skateboarding video game should be. So stop playing those amateur games and get Tony Hawk's pro skater 2!
